| 9/20/10 It has been an eventful year around here. We kicked off the season in April with shows every weekend until the end of July. Then we were showing somewhere at least 2 weekends every month after that. Traveling all over with lots of our own young horses, students and customer horses. NBHA-ETHSA-GHHJA-GSWEC. Barrel horses, playday horses, western pleasure horses, hunter under saddle horses, hunter / jumpers, etc.... Team High Point consists of the students, and familys that travel and work hard all year long to share the the sport and love for horses that we do. This is a new page we decided to add so we may show case some of things that happen in our world. |
12/30/11 Wow would you look at that. The 2011 news up dates got totaly away from me. So here it is all in a nut shell. Allysa went
back home to Ohio, yes to the cold and the snow at Christmas 2010. Ashley Rothrock had another stellar year with Miss Trixxy
Trixx. She is accepting the award for Year End Grand Champion in the ITTY BITTY jumpers division from GHHJA. I healed from my
broken ribs pretty well but really didn't show all that much this year because we were so busy with the customer training horses.
Also the drought and the EHV scare kept us home too. Rick finally healed up enough to take off the knee brace...Yeah!
Super excited about the 2012 season. Oh Yeah, we also added customer horse videos to the bottom of the -Training Page- so
they may view their horses progress and can also see other customer horses at "big boy and girl school" too. Thanks for
checking in on the news.
11/27/10 GSWEC show. I had to sit out this one and leave JJ in the pasture (broke a few ribs) The students did wonderful. Allysa
and LJS Voodoo Too won 1st in her second trip over fences and took a second in the big HUS class, YEAH.... Ashley and her
horse Trixx again took Reserve Champion in the ITTY BITTY jumpers class, then she and Cash had another great showing in the
over fences hunter class Green as Grass. Over all in the GHHJA points she placed 7th in the GAG for the year attending only
limited shows due to the huge schedule we had all year. Congratulations to all and we look forward to another successfull 2011
season!!!!!
11/13/10 &11/14/10 NBHA Finals, Congratulations Ashley who qualified for the NBHA YOUTH WORLD SHOW in 2011. She finished
second over all in her division. Allysa brought home her first check at a NBHA show on our horse JP...
10/30/10 GSWEC show. Ashley Rothrock and the mare she purchased from us took Grand Champion in the 2"6' Itty Bitty Jumper
division with 2 first and a second. Way to go!! Then she took Reserve Champion on our guy Cash again and won the flat with a
super performance. JJ and Lisa took some ribbons home again but the other great news was Allysa Bring and LJS Voodoo Too.
They made a great debut placing in every Green as Grass class looking smooth and in complete control. Click the link above to

10/23/10 ETHSA awards banquet. Connie Woodhouse walked away with a "TOP 10" jacket and won a Sportsmanship award for her
year long support and encouraging words and selfless help that she gave to all she met. We are glad to have her with us.
Ashley Rothrock cleaned up winning the year end English and Western divisions for the 13 to 17 age group, Reserve halter
gelding with Tango-MSM Bounty Hunter, and TOP 10 for speed events!!! Lisa took the 18 and over English and TOP 10 for speed.
Great year and a load of hard work and traveling. Thanks to all that helped, you are so appreciated.....
10/16/10 Another NBHA show in Leona, Ashley is riding yet another horse in barrels (JP), placed on him and Patty and in the
running toward winning a saddle for year ends. Connie Woodhouse and Quincy finally clicked in the senior barrel class running
their best time all year.
9/25/10 NBHA show in Crockett, Connie Woodhouse and her horse Quincy are really coming together after their first show
season. Together they have been showing at the playdays in all events, and Reining is becoming their new passion. Wow, what
a stop on that team. Ashley and Zues gained some more points in Crockett, but faithful Patty took out the second barrel. Tough
luck but thats part of the challenge to becoming great.
9/11/10 Another GSWEC show, JJ won another HUS class, Ashley and Cash took the Reserve Champion for the day this time.

9/8/10 We have been waiting for the arival of Allysa Bring from Ohio and she is finally here. Allysa is Going to live with us for a
while and learn the ropes of training horses. She left 15 horses and a supportive family behind to come join Team High Point.
8/21/10 Congratulations to Ashley Rothrock who took 4th's in all her GAG classes over fences on one of our horses MSM Skip
the Cash. It was their first hunter show together.
Lisa and JJ (Czechs and Prioritys) landed a Reserve Champion for the day in the GAG division. Also JJ's first hunter show.
